My father has a pair of BeoVox IWS 2000s where one if the tweeters has gone silent. Before trying to fit unoriginal drivers, I would rather like to try and find an original. My father sent me a couple of photos:

Sadly there is no information on the driver itself and the service manual isn't on the site, so I really have no idea which make and model this is, so therefore any help will be appreciated. I hope it's a pretty common driver as these speakers aren't exactly common.

Thanks in advance. Smile

Dennis:

Well this manual isn't really helpful Sad

It says (!):

9006   #8480254 Loudspeaker, woofer, 2.5cm, 8Ohm

9007   #8480253 Loudspeaker, tweeter, 13.3cm, 8Ohm

where according to the drawing 9006 obviously being the woofer and 9007 the tweeter so name is ok but not the dimensions.

Technical Specs show a crossover freq of 2500Hz.

At least the dimensions of the woofer & tweeter are correct here: woofer 5 1/4" - 13.3cm, tweeter 1" - 2.5cm dome

Maybe someone has more tweeter info of other BEOVOXes eventually using the same drivers (Martin? ;-)

Regards,

   Gunther

Hi Gunther,

Sorry for the late reply. I knew the service manual wasn't gonna tell me much more than a B&O part no. but it can be used to compare with other service manuals. In the meantime my father got it working again - sort of. It has a loose connection inside, but after fiddling a bit around with it, it started working. Still looking for more info on the driver though as it's probably only a matter of time before it stops working again.

Thanks for your help, Gunther! Smile
