I recently bought the beosound moment to join my beolab 18 (in stead of the encore).
I connected the beolab 18 wireless. Till know no problems of dropouts or anything.
But:
The speakers are left and right next to a cabinet (the moment is on that cabinet) and there is already a power wire from each beolab to the cabinet. To connect a rj45 wire to the beosound moment is then no problem and will not distract the cosmetics.
What would you guys do? Leave it wireless or connect the beolabs with the moment with rj45 NL?
Hope to hear from you.

Hi,
if you have the chance to hardwire your speakers my suggestion is to do so.
From what I have tested the speakers sound best when fed via toslink directly followed by PowerLink. When using WISA the sound-quality itself is as good as toslink but the stereo effect degenerates quite a bit. One reason for this could be very slight timing problems between left and right channel.
BR,BeoMotion.
In that scenario where the Wisa isn't strictly necessary, I'd go for the RJ45 connection. Put the cables in a cable sock to make it look tidier though.
There has been discussion here in the last week about the difference in sound quality between wireless and 'Ethernet connected' devices and the connection appears to make a difference. Why not try each and see if you can detect any difference in sound quality/performance? Feedback would also be useful.
Enjoy the system.
Dave.
Thanks for the advice.
I will connect the beolab 18 wired to the beosound moment.
Can i use shielded cat or cat 7 cable or must i buy specific power link cables at the dealer.
Thanks in advance.
Greetings Edwin
