MMC  Cartridge retipping.

Have any one tried a “High End” MMC1 repair from Schalplattennadeln.de?

I have bought a retipping with NUDE shibata stylus and BORON cantilever EUR. 495, 00 for my Beogram 7000.

This is probably the best “investment” I have made.

It's like my records to have a new life.

I have never heard so many details before at my records.

I know of course that it is not possible to make a fair comparison whit the original MMC 1 due it’s age.

To anyone’s information I use also a Beomaster 7000 and the speakers are Beovox 5000, MK 1  and Beovox 2500 Cube.

If any of you have the courage and money, you should buy one.

Yes, Axel has an excellent reputation. I have about 15 B&O cartridges to send him for re-tipping.

A nice set-up you have. You should try the 1960,s Beolab 5000 combination. That also sounds wonderful.

I have the nude shibata on boron mmc20cl from Axel. It is superb, dare I say the best cartridge I have ever heard.

Hi Dave.

No. I do it myself.

I am a member af Ringsted Radio Museum. It is run by volunteers and this is were I repair most of my gear.

Once in a while I use Martin.

I get the new fronts from Frede.

Hi Quote.

It's exactly the same I have at my MMC 1.

I totally agree with you.

Hi Hans-Henrik,

I think you misunderstood Soren. We all know Axels re tipping service and site extremely well. I believe he meant pictures of your B&O equipment
