Interesting that the ICEpower website says that Bang & Olufsen has been dropped from the company name this month.
Digging around on the website shows (bottom of linked page) that Bang & Olufsen is now listed as a customer, along with Bowers & Wilkins, Pioneer, Alpine, Samsung and Audi.
This page highlights Vox and Asus.
Is this a branding strategy that assumes that Hi Fi partners are happier to highlight "ICEpower inside" rather than the Bang & Olufsen link?
Whatever the strategy, B&O can only benefit. It's ironic that ICEpower now seems to power so many products whose owners would in the past have promoted their 'Audiophile' brands as superior to B&O!

"The name change has no effect on Bang & Olufsen’s 100 % ownership of ICEpower, terms and conditions for customers and ICEpower’s organization"
I think it is a natural step as they say themselves. I think ICEPower is a good technology and not only for B&O but also for the environment. More good quality amps that also saves power :).I am happy that they gain more customers since it result in more money and more research and development. A bit strange as always when names changes like this but I don't think we have to be worried in any way. The company is still 100% owned by B&O and they are not pushing away from B&O.
Beolab 50, Beolab 8000 x 2, Beolab 4000 x 2, BeoSound Core, BeoSound 9000, BeoSound Century, BeoLit 15, BeoPlay A1, BeoPlay P2, BeoPlay H9 3rd Gen, BeoPlay H6, EarSet 3i, BeoVision Eclipse Gen 2 55", BeoPlay V1-40, BeoCom 6000 and so much else :)
I agree completely with Michael. I imagine other companies will be happier to habe ICE branded amplifiers rather than B&O as most consumers will assume this is not from another company - why would you buy a B&W speaker if you perceive it is actually a B&O. The factthat almost all products these days are built from bought in components is not realised by most. I imagine they think everything is built in one factory!
