Hi,

I've just bought a BeoSound 3000. The woman I bought it from barely used it so I'm surprised there is a problem and am wondering if it's something I've done?

When I press stop on the BeoSound the music stops but the disc keeps spinning. I thought it might just be a pause but even pressing it a few times does nothing.

It worked perfectly for the two days after I bought it, then I bought an old Beo4 remote, used it and then the stop button on the BeoSound stopped working properly. I've since discovered after taking it apart that the Beo4 had a loose wire in it - the display was jumping from cd to tv to random to aux whatever button I pressed but I have now soldered the wire into place and it seems to be working ok.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Thank you,

David

It is normal that the disc keeps spinning when pressing STOP, it will keep spinning and be in "pause" mode, until you select another source, like RADIO.. It will also stop after some time if it stays in "pause" for a long time..

Ah, that's fantastic - so I haven't broken it after all.

Thank you very much.
