Is it correct that the new beosound essence mkII is delivered without the bluetooth volume control? I am in process of replacing my essence mKI and the dealer says that he think the MKII is delviered without the volume controll wheel, which in my opinion, sounds strange.  Does anyone knows if this is hte case?.

With yes you mean yes it comes without the volume controller?

After all Essence is advertisedast he device that can start the music with one touch. wouldn't it be dissapointing if the touch device is not included then?

Mk2 comes without the volume controller. Just because you can use it only with an app.

But it's unfair because the price didn't decrease.

Not like B&O to act like this. They have never been shy about increasing their prices so why not with Essence, specially when the product is in fact marketed as on touch music player!

Buy an essence 1st generation with bluetooth button for about 500 € (as I did it) then buy something like an A9 and yout get an Essence 2nd generation as update. Then there is no need to buy an extra button for 179 € (as I didn't because I don't need an A9 etc. and don't know anybody to make a gift to at this price)

In Denmark there isn't much difference.

The MK1 including the 'wall-wheely' was 5.995 Kr.

The MK2 is 4.995 Kr plus the 1.295 Kr for the 'wheely'.

The MK2 has gone up 100 Kr, but the 'wheely' about 200 Kr.

I think it is fair to sell it without the 'wheely', because not everybody needs it.

And besides there are two versions of it - wall and table.

There is a tv - and there is a BV

My first post saying the same about Australian pricing got lost.

The other reason for not mandating the wheel is because now you can have an IR eye and use your Beoremote

BeoNut since '75

I just popped into a local dealer to get a mk2 essence and a converter and see what deal they would do for my mk1 essence (which at the time if purchase I was told would be made multiroom) and they only offered a few pounds for it.

Wife has now decided that she wants to look at Loewe instead, so off to see what they have to offer (hoping she will prefer B&O and we can find a good deal for the mk1)
