Hi all, I have a Beomaster 1900 that is now after some weeks nearly perfect. I replaced the lamp kit and did some cosmetic repairs. It now switches on and both phono and the tuner work perfectly. The tape only plays on right channel, the left is there but very dim. Also the treble slider does not seem to change any tone anywhere, although the slider seems to work perfectly. Any suggestions?
Thanks, Henry.
Check the contacts inside the tape input socket.Give them a little more contact pressure by prying the contacts slightly closer using a very tiny screwdriver.
My guess is that the black plastic slider in the treble potentiometer has broken so that the bronze contacts no longerhas electrical contact - they just sit there. You need to take the potentiometer apart to see this.I can supply a repair kit for the potentiometers in Beomaster 1900 and 2400.

Bonjour Dillen
Dan
