hi, im new on here and im also fairly new to b&o. i recently bought a beovision7-32 mk3 and i already had a beosound 9000 mk3. im using beolab 6000 off the tv and beolab 8000 off the cd player, i have them connected together via masterlink but i have a fairly long echo/delay between them. when watching tv i hear the sound from the tv first then the sound from the cd second. its very annoying.
ive tried changing the distances in tv settings but it didnt help.
can anyone help?
thanks in advance.
Sound of your BV must be delayed in the service menu in order to run in sync with the picture.
The sound of your BS will not be delayed. That`s why you hear an echo.
To solve this problem, connect all four speakers to the BV7 (highly reommended if you use a surround module).
Or connect all four BLs to the Beomaster (BS9000).
If all BLs are connected to the BV, set BV to V.OPT2 and BS9000 to A.OPT 0.
Hope this helps
Stefan

I agree with everything Stefan has said, but this is only applicable if both the Beovision and the Beosound are in the same room (Carrollea original post doesn't state whether this is the case or not).
In any case I would be inclined to perform a factory reset on the Beovision first before trying to diagnose any further as you never know what settings a previous owner might have adjusted.
Kind Regards,
Martin.
thanks very much for the reply, sorry ive been away for a week, ive conected the speakers to the bs and set it to option 0. i cant find out how to perform a factory reset on the bv or how to select option 2. ive read the manual a few times but cant see either in it.
also when i select cd on the remote the bs works but when i skip up a track it skips 2 songs. sometimes going down the tracks it skips 1 but mainly 2. is this a setup problem do you think?
thanks for the help.

Hi Eanna
Carrollea:ive conected the speakers to the bs
To the BS (9000)? or did you mean to the BV (7) as stefan suggested?
Carrollea:and set it to option 0
The BS9000 should be set to option 0 if it has no speakers connected, but not otherwise (in fact if you have no speakers plugged into the BS9000 it should switch itself to option 0).
Carrollea:when i skip up a track it skips 2 songs
This would imply neither device is set to option 0 - option 0 disables IR reception, and your current double skipping issue suggests that *both* devices are receiving the command from the remote, so both are skipping 1 track (resulting in the double skipping issue).
To confirm, are both devices (and all four speakers) in the same room?
If so, can you connect all four speakers to the television (ie will your current cables reach, or can the speakers be moved closer just for testing and until you can obtain longer cables)?
Once you have connected all four speakers to the beovision, you need to set the beovision to option 2, and the bs9000 to option 0. To do this:-
Turn the BS9000 off at the mains, turn on the power to the BV7 but leave it in standby.
Hold down the power button on your beo4 remote, and press the list button (then release both buttons)
Press list repeatedly until OPTION? is displayed, press GO
Press list repeatedly until V.OPT is displayed, press 2
Now turn your BV7 off at the mains and turn on the power to the BS9000 (again, leave it in standby).
Repeat the above procedure, but this time you are looking for A.OPT to be displayed, and then need to press '0'
Turn both devices off at the mains, turn on the BV7, wait 30 seconds, then turn on the BS9000.
ok im getting it now! yes all devices are in the same room. what im trying to achieve here is to use all 4 speakers with the bv and the bs. obvisuously i wont be listening to a cd and watching tv at the same time. the bv also has the center speaker thats attached to the stand.
the bv is in one corner of the room and the bs is in the oposite corner, i have a ml, 1x powerlink mk3 wire and a cat 6 wire running in the walls from one device to the other.
i can attach the speakers to which ever decive you recommend to be honest i dont know a whole lot about it.
thanks

Okay, I see. With the speakers daisy chained you will be a little more limited as each powerlink only carries two channels,
If you could connect one pair of speakers to one powerlink socket on the BV7, and the other pair to another socket on the BV7, you could then press LIST->FORMAT->2 or LIST->FORMAT->4 on the remote to choose between having two or four speakers active, and likewise 1 for centre speaker only, or 5 for full surround sound (assuming your 4 speakers are roughly placed as front left, front right, rear left and rear right relative to your listening position).
Either way, connecting them all to the BV7 will resolve any echo issues.
