Hello all,

I grew up listening to my Dads B&O equipment: a couple turntables as well as a CD player (don't recall specific models, just the great sound). I just picked up a Beocord 5000 which I believe is a type 4923 with the sliding drawer. It is in nice cosmetic shape, but has a couple issues:

There is the electronic "burning" or hot smell when the deck I plugged in. Strangely, it functions (drawer opens and closed, display functions). It appears isolated to the power section - perhaps caps? I see no evidence of damage to anything in the circuit. Anything in particular to maybe look for with this model? I haven't done any specific testing for voltages, etc.

Looks like all the belts have disintegrated as well! I found this site in my searches and I'm believe Dillen is who I need to contact for belts? I'm hoping there's instruction somewhere for installation as the originals are no longer in place for reference.

Warren
