Total newbie here, so please bear with me...
The previous owner of the house that I bought left behind a Beosound 3000 (I know, its old) and a Beo4 remote.
I am just getting around to playing with this and am going to set up a Sonos ZP80 to stream music to it. I am currently waiting for a 5 pin DIN to RCA adapter cable to arrive.
The radio and CD player work (Who uses CDs anymore?!). I hear sound coming out of the speakers.
The problem that I am having is I am not able to adjust the volume, neither on the unit itself or with the remote.
When I try to adjust the volume, the unit says "Use TV".
The remote is completely unresponsive. I cannot adjust the volume, change radio stations, skip songs on a CD or change from radio to aux, aux to CD, or CD to radio. Its basically a paperweight at this point.
I know that it was an expensive system when it was brand new, and it is integrated with speakers in numerous rooms throughout my house. Additionally I have the built in wall controls that allow me to mute certain rooms.
Is there a system and/or remote reset that I need to do in order to get this working properly? I have read through the manual, and I did not see any way to fix this issue.
Is this user error? Am I just an idiot?
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thank you in advance!
Hi and welcome. The BS 3000 will be in the wrong option. Follow these steps with the unit in standby mode.
Hold the • button down while pressing LIST
Now let go of both buttons
Press LIST until OPTION? is displayed
Press GO Press LIST once to display A.OPT When A.OPT is blinking in the Beo4 display… Key in the appropriate number which is 1, the red light on the 3000 should blink twice and away you go!!!

I will give that a shot tonight...
Thank you!
