Saw this post on B&O's intagram today. New announcement coming? Sounds interesting...

It might be related to this thread about IFTTT?

Jolly exciting, I just saw it too!
Hopefully bringing the whole B&O ecosystem a bit more up-to-date. Mildly hopeful for an updated Beomusic app!! 😜
BeoVision Eclipse 55”, Beolab 18s, Beolab 19s, Beosound 1, Beoplay P2, H3, BeoRemote One IR, BeoRemote One BT, Beoplay S8, Beosound Essence MkII, BeoTime
There is a similar announcement on the B and O Facebook page along with a video. However, the video does not appear to be a new one as it shows products such as the Beo 6, Beosound 5, and BV7.

I - too - wondered, why they used that old video :-(
There must be a new one coming - maybe after the presentation on february 9th.

I wouldn't expect that - this is about 'Home Integration' = the BeoLink app.
I hope they integrate the Beomusic app into the Beolink app then you would not have to use two apps to control music and home control
Possible, but that would probably make the app rather 'bloated' for those, who don't have any Home Integration in their setup.
Any more news about this? If i remember correctly, B&O were having a pressrelease today?
http://www.bang-olufsen.com/en/beolink-smarthome
The wording used is similar to how the previous "home integration" by B&O was presented.
The difference probably lies in the wider integration available with the current system (i.e. supporting devices by different manufacturers, as well as more home automation systems)? Plus, the system is cloud-based now!
"One of Bang & Olufsen's signature experiences is that a user can control all Bang & Olufsen TV and audio systems and third-party products such as e.g. Apple TV, Blu-ray players and game consoles with one beautiful and intuitive Bang & Olufsen remote control. These experiences are now further extended with the BeoLink SmartHome, where a multitude of technologies can be integrated through a secure remote, cloud-based connection enabling a simple, intuitive control of hundreds of third-party devices and home automation systems."
B&O claiming that they have a "cloud-based" solution when they are relying on IFTTT reminds me of the time when B&O claimed on their site that the BeoSound 5 was capable of AirPlay - when B&O's idea of being "AirPlay capable" meant buying an Airport Express and connecting it to the AUX input.
I must say that I'm worried about the security of IFTTT. It just seems TOO open and vulnerable to people hacking into one's home automation, which could be quite dangerous. On the other hand, Apple's HomeKit boasts solid security but at the expense of openness.
