Everyone goes overboard about apple, i think they dont care about their customers

I have just bought an i pad and tried to set up an account but cannot  as my debit and credit cards are both visa are from english banks with my billing address here  in spain.i have lived in spain for nine years and never had a problem using them with microsoft or amazon or anyone here only apple

The only way round it is to get an extra visa card issued from a spanish bank which will cost me more money

so if your company transfers you abroad your i tunesis linked into whatever country you live in and will not accept your visa or or amex or mastercard from  your home country

Even the customer support guy agrees its is not good same happens to him he had to open a portugese bank account

just switch to the iTunes store and make an account in the country of the creditcard.

or buy a iTunes card and make an account.

But I agree: don't say a wrong word about Apple it reaches to the status of "his holyness".

Hi Malcolm, I presume you supplied a UK address when you obtained the UK cards, so why not just enter this address into Apple's system?

Or, if you have no contact with this address any more, have you friends or relatives in the UK? With their permission, just enter one of these addresses. Finally, what about just changing your UK billing address with the bank(s) to a friend or relative's and enter this address?

The restriction is imposed by Music companies. The have imposed this rule to apple so that you can only buy songs from the country you're leave in. The address on your card is the only way for apple to easily verify your address.

As it was said before just buy a App store or an iTunes store pre-paid card and you should be sorted.

That's not Apple. We have the same problem with software. We have to serve based on either IP and registered card or a combination of both. We're not allowed to run certain offers for customer's outside the UK and we have to block these or put in restrictions. This isn't our choice, it's the choice of the supplier. If we do not meet these requirements, they can terminate our reseller agreement (and Apple is only a reseller via iTunes).

Thanks Phil and Moxxey for clarifying this, I hope...

Can we now have the title of the thread changed?

Malcom, your question has been answered, and the reasons behind as well.

If your card is a UK card, then create your iTunes account on the UK store and buy your Apps and movies from the UK store.

if you still want to use the spanish store instead, go to an Apple retailer and buy an iTunes prepaid card (for movies) and an App Store prepaid card (for apps).

In iTunes click on the app store in the left margin and then enter a search for Bang Olufsen, this should do the trick.

Can we have an "All things Apple" related sub-forum - away from the general forum? some of the stuff I've read in recent weeks is starting to keep me away from the site. I've no doubt it'll probably be busier than the general forum but this is after all a B&O site - Having the landing forum full of iPhone and Mac related stuff seems a little bit off somehow!

Perhaps a transfer to the Wedthred would solve issues for two forums (and increase Puncher's blood pressure!)

Considering B&O make devices specifically for Apple products, this would be a good idea.

Beosound Stage, Beovision 8-40, Beolit 20, Beosound Explore.

I have moved this thread to the People & Lifestyle section.
Please keep the General forum section B&O related.

I will bring the idea of an Apple/B&O forum section on to the rest of the moderator team.

There is already a Beo-Mac forum sub-section, maybe it could be widened and renamed Beo-Apple.

The way things are going you may as well rename the entire site as AppleWorld.

Every site I post on , there's always a Mac VS Pc brigade , it's hilarious fun for a troll like me. :)
