Gentlemen,

As seen here, I am looking for ways to connect both a Beovision MX7000 and Beocenter 9300 to Master Link. This requires a Beolink Converter, and they have been available in different versions.

According to Vienna in this post;

  • The 1613 was an EU version introduced 1995 and predecessor to the 1611 below
  • The 1611 was an EU version introduced 1997 and replaced the 1613
  • The 1614 was a US version introduced 1995 and predecessor to the 1612 below
  • The 1612 was a US version introduced 1997
  • The 1610 was a special Audio kit for the AV 9000 MKII (without Power Link?)
  • The 1615 was a special version without Power Link as well (can be used to connect televisions as stated by XXXX in this post)

...and this is well in line with the info in the Master Link and Beolink handbooks;

  • Part no. 1161366 is an EU BeoLink Converter
  • Part no. 1161166 is an EU BeoLink Converter
  • Part no. 1161466 is a US/CDN BeoLink Converter
    (which cannot be used as an ML driver)
  • Part no. 1161266 is a US/CDN BeoLink Converter
  • Part no. 1161566 is a Beolink Video.

So the short question is:

Can an extra 1611 Beolink Converter in the below setup replace the 1615 Beolink Video?

Best Regards,

Just buy this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bang-Olufsen-B-O-BeoLink-Video-/291678887217?hash=item43e96a9d31:g:dzYAAOSwhkRWgQ9H

... and all your problems go away!

Or join as a silver member and post a 'wanted' ad - possibly a cheaper option!

Hi,

as Guy noted before get one of the Beolink Video 1615 to connect your BeoVision MX TV set to the Master TV set (which has Masterlink as i assume).

To get the Beosystem 9300 connected to the masterlink system you can use a beolink converter 1614  or 1611. Both wil work fine, the Beolink converter 1611 is needed when on the masterlink cable _no_ (Audio or Video) Master is avallable.
