Hi B&O gurus out there!
I know it is somehow possible to control the Playstation 3 (connected to Avant 55) by Beoremoteone. But how; what is the easiest way to do this?
Someone told me that Logitech (?) Harmony (?) is the device for that, but is it and how? Anything that helps me forward would be great, thanks!
PS3 has a bluetooth remote, no infrared.
You just need an "usb infrared dongle", put it into your PS3. You have to download the PUC for PS3. and connect the "PUC cable" with the dongle.
When the PS3 is started, you can control the PS3 and you can switch it off.
BUT.....
You can't start it, because the usb port is not activated until the ps3 starts.
You can start it and control it using RE-BL, an infrared to bluetooth device specially made for B&O devices. Add the RE-BL to the PUc and voilà!
Only (big) drawback if you want to be futureproof : the RE-BL isn't compatible with the PS4.

Thanks! This helps
Mbee; thanks! Looks perfect! Is it relatively easy to do the setup? I'm not an expert on the field...
...and which one of the RL-BL products do I buy from their store...?
...got it; seem to be this: "RE·BL X - Installers kit"
got it, seems to be this one: RE·BL X - Installers kit
There is ment tobe a Beo One Remote coming with Bluetooth added maybe that would control the ps3 when it ciomes out?
I can control my PS4 with my Samsung remote. The ps4 is connected to the Samsung via hdmi-sec. I believe that the PS3 has this function as well.
"You think we can slap some oak on this thing?"
