BV11 sounds incredibly exciting especially at the more genuine price. This should satisfy a lot of B&O customers who aren't getting turned on by the V1!  AS LONG AS THAT ORANGE SPEAKER FRET IS OFFERED ;)

Hopefully the BV10 will continue? Surely surely surely, it's the STRONGEST of all of the BANG&OLUFSEN designed Tvs! Surely, the most desirable!

Flappo, hehehe, you crazy guy! Too much living in London there mate, I think you need to come for a run on the beach with me!

When the BV12 arrived we thought the 7-55 would die, but it turned out to be the other way around - The BV12 made the 7-55 look better: for most customers it is easier to set up a tv on a floor stand, the BS3 is totally integrated and so is the blu-ray player. The STB can be mounted on the floor stand and hidden by the STB alu-cover. A pretty tidy and neat setup. The fact that the 7-55 will turn to face you is essential to some, and the advantage of having the center speaker facing you is obvious, too.

And there are some drawbacks with the BV12 as mentioned: the center channel is ok, but nothing special compared to a BL7-6, the burn-in problems are back for plasma, the power consumption / heat issue, (fan) noise - and to some customers the added value of the BV12 compared with a panny is less obvious than with the 7-55.

I noticed this when Wimbledon was showing on both the BV12 and BV7-55 at the same time. The grass and colours of the grass was far more defined on the BV7-55. BV12 attempted to blend the grass a little too much for me. Sport is definitely better on the LCD screen.

Plus, you're right, the BV12's speaker is poor. And it's incredibly warm. Well, not warm, hot. You can stand half a metre in front of the BV12 and you can feel the heat radiating out.

I'm going to wait and see if they produce a BV11-55, which has been hinted at by my dealer. He says a wall-mountable 55" could/should be out by the end of the year.

I doubt they were laughing, more like they can't see B&O reducing the audio quality of the already average BV10 speaker, which is likely to happen with the proposed BV11. Traditional B&O customers want Avant-style audio and can't accept anything less.

I guess B&O have decided that their TV audio is so good compared to rivals (let's be fair, it's not difficult), that they can justify cutting down the speaker, much like the V1, and still give a decent audio experience?

Can't wait to see what they come up with .

Not trolling this time , makes a change I know.

That crappy samdung I was mouthing off about being so amazing ? Bloomin thing went kaput after 5 days and I had to take it back for a refund.

While the avant in the front room is on non stop almost for the last 10 years and never a problem !

Hmmmm... Makes you think doesn't it ?

It happened to two of my BV7's too, to be fair. My first MKIII had to be replaced and then the MKVI died with red lines all over the screen, which was a known issue - was instantly replaced with a new (and slightly improved!) model.

plasma is still king for me for large screen, prefer the softer crt type image, each to their own.Had my bv5 hd for years in my spare lounge and love it.

still got old school avant dvd in lounge, still elegant and not overpowering in size, and always gets coments still to this day.If its not broken dont change it.Both have been good buys as I have got my moneys worth over the years.
