Hello great people of Beoworld, a new member here with some questions about my Beomaster 2200.
I'am rather new to the world of HiFi equipment and such, but i do have some understanding of what goes on inside an amp and related equipment.
So to my first question, is it a common problem with my specific model that there becomes a play in the speakerplugs on the amp and is there some special or easy (like DeoxIt contact cleaner) remedy for this problem? Only the right channel has some play, by fidling with the connector i'am able to get sound to both speakers.
Secondly, the radio preset panel, how does it work? On my specific unit the whole panel can be pushed down into the amp and then will slowly travel upp a bit beyeond the rest of the panels underneath the aluminum lid. Also the circular preset buttons wont turn at all.
Lastly the slider for balance doesn't seem to change anything, is it simply broke? Don't know if it matters but i have both my speakers plugged in to Output 2 from the amp, beacuse the din-plugs are too big to fit in Output 1.
With best regards
Matthew
Could be contact error/bad solder or so. This model is made with breadboard like plug-in method. I had some oxidising on pluging posts and internal connecting wiring.
On top presets is only dialdisplay, dialind is made from side of panel when up.
It is truly great amp, so worth of some work.
blah-blah and photographs as needed
Orava: On top presets is only dialdisplay, dialind is made from side of panel when up.
- And it's not done on the dials themselves but on the fingerwheels right next to each of them.

I thought that the radio dial panel seemed a bit fishy so after reading your reply i tried to "pry" it upwards with my fingers, and voila it slowly came up super gunky and dirty! I'm definitely going to dissemble it for a thorough cleaning and check over the internals.
Orava, what did you mean with breadboard like plug-in method?
Also if the Balance slider is broken, any ideas what would be the best way to repair it?
Thanks for all the help so far guys!
Regards - Matthew

Boards are plugged in chassis were is wiring between different boards, turner, preamp, poweramps ect... You will see when you open it :)
Makes working easily, but have a cost, those connections in chassis might oxided.
