So I'm using my old Beomaster 6500 to push sound to speakers in my office and bathroom. I'm running the input through the "input/AUX" DIN on the back of the BM. The signal in is from my AirPlay. I also have a Beosound 8 mounted under my tv that I use as a general sound system for my small living room area. My first issue is that I cannot turn one on without both coming on. There are times when I don't want sound in my bath or office and visa versa when I don't want sound through my Beosound 8. I am using a Beo5 remote that Keith has helped me program. I added the Beosound 8 to my profile as well as "Other Audio" for my Beomaster 6500. Is there any way to remedy this? Is it possible to turn one on and not the other? Is it possible to add another product to my configuration and label it "BM6500" and have it only control the BM?
Also, has anyone found a way to connect Apple TV to the Beosound 8? There's no sound output from Apple TV except for HDMI and Optical cable which neither my BM or BS have. Is there a way to do it through Airplay? There must be.....

Set your BM6500 to A.OPT0. Now it won`t respond to any ir commands. Connect an MCL2A Kit (extra speaker kit) to SPEAKER2 sockets and connect your speakers (passive?) to your MCL box. Set the extra speaker kit to L.OPT4. Now you can contol your BM6500 in LINK mode, pressing for example LINK - RADIO. This can also be programmed as a one button command to your Beo5.
For your second question: I have no Apple tv, no Airplay and no BS8. But I think you will find a lot of threads about these devices and about DACs, Airport express and AUX connections of your BS8.
Hope this helps.
