Hello,

i bought a used Beovision 9-50 type 9720, installed it at home and connected it to a sat-reciever. The BV 9-50 has less than 3500 hours on the clock. Everything worked fine, i am very pleased with the picture quality.

But after approx. 2 hours of operation the TV switched off hard and did not move back into standby position. After all i can switch it on again immediately after it shut itseld down. This happened twice so far and i think both times it was after about 2 hours of operation.

A look into the monitor information shows "application errors"  and "IO-errors". It reports the error code 00F8 for the last shut downs ... and it also shows several error parameters.

Any experts here, that can give some evidence about how serious the problem might be? Is it just a software thing or is there a hint for defective hardware?

Would be great, if someone could provide some info.

Best regards

Tom

Hi Tom,

Do you know which build your BV9-50 mkII is? Software version pre-5.00 and build pre-431 had a known issue where the HDMI-signal would trigger a re-start of the H8 module.

Do you have access to a dealer with a service tool? If so, please update the s/w - especially the H8 module.
