Hi All,

may be there is somebody out there that can give me a few hints o a problem where the radio is suddenly dead:

* the CD unit works fine

* when selecting radio I get noting in terms of sound, not even statics

* the radio PCB is working (exchanged it with another Century)

* the auto radio frequency scan doesn't find any radio stations

Could this be a problem with the micro processor or the connection (black wires) between processor and radio PCB?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

ps I do have an official Service manual: very handy...

yes I sort of fixed it, There is one transistor that will switch on and off the 5V power supply of the radio unit, that one is gone, I bridged it and than it works: it uses in this case always energie instead of only when the radio is selected. Do you have the schematics? Are you able to figure it out? I will dig up the schematics tomorrow or the day after but it is a very simple transistor that has gone,
