Hi BO lovers... :)
I bought few days ago a Beocenter 5000. You can find pic under my files.
on the front side there is a "like a sensor"....
what is it for?
thanks in advance...
Tamas
Helló Tamas,Gratulálok a választást. Ehhez a teszthez egy Beocenter Control Module kel ami a Beocenter 7000-él együtt müködött (ott gyárkénti bevolt épitve a távirányító modul).

Martin, you are probably right. For other members it is not helpful if we are not writing English.
But es I saw that Tamas is a new member, obviously comes from Budapest / Hungary (and nobody answered to his question few hours) I thought it would be nice to say welcome and answer his question on his (and my second) native language. Sorry for that...
Back to issue, as I wrote in my (Hungarian) post, I thought the Beocenter 5000 was without remote control modul (in contrast to Beocenter 7000 which had it by default) and the "sensor" at the front is only "dummy" cover. But I think I saw few times this remote control module for sale and it can be build in into the Beocenter 5000.
And here a picture of this module from my personal "B&O-Picture-Database"
Of course I could be wrong...
That's a remote module from Beocenter 7700 (or 7007 - or both, I don't remember). It has two-way support (IR components for both sending and receiving).Beocenter 7000 (on which the Beocenter 5000 is based) is not two-way. and Beocenter 5000 doesnot support remote control at all.Martin
Hi o master..,:)
Thanks for U and all for the help! = Nagyon köszönöm a segítségeteket......
So I have to figure out if possible to applicate a remote for it. I think I can live without it.
One more Q:
I have a subwoofer box JBL just left from a system. Can I connect it somehow to enjoy deep bass....
(I check the connection input, I dont remember....)
THANKS AGAIN!
Köszönöm szépen!!!
Just wondering if it is at all possible that your Beocentre 5000 maybe has been put together using parts from a 5000 and 7000 - hence you have the remote control thingy?
I had a BC5000 years ago and loved it, then I moved to a 7000 and eventually 7700 - all really good machines and very neat.,
