I have a Bang & Olufsen Beogram 4000 which is in need of some work.

The arms moves across but doesn't drop down on to the record.
I had this issue fixed before but as soon as I changed from 33 to 45 to play a single, it went wrong again and now the arm wont drop.

I have tried some of the tips that I have found on the Internet but I cannot seem to fix the problem. I think the time has come to give this over to an expert who really knows what they are doing with these complicated decks.

I am looking to find someone in the United Kingdom that really knows what they are doing with these machines. Someone who can not only fix the issues I am having but give the whole deck a complete overhaul to bring it up to its optimum performance level.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I would suggest Tim Jarman at Beocentral if you can persuade him! He is usually up for interesting pieces. he will want you to take it to him and collect it though as if posted it will be wrecked. He will prefer devices which have not been 'mucked about with' so don't try any repairs yourself! Contact him via Beocentral. He lives just to the west of London.

Thanks for the heads up.

If I do not manage to persuade him Erm.., are there any other people that you (or anyone else) might be able to recommend?

I'd like to find someone who can not only fix the issue, but give the deck a complete service and full set up.

Cheers, Vudicus.
