Hello ,
after deep considerations , i am going to give up my 1st gen beovision 7 32 and go for a Sony 4K 49" oled tv and I just want to buy a beosound 35 as a Soundbar and simple hi-fi for playing AAC files .
Nevertheless , every single review in the universe is complaining that the bs 35 is lack of bass and cannot apply the hdmi arc function while connecting non b&o tvs . Of course I understand that it is not only a sound bar and was not made for that single function .
Is there anybody who is in my situation , have similar experience and can give me some advise ? Please help .
regards
d.
Beosound Stage, Beovision 8-40, Beolit 20, Beosound Explore.
Yes . My biggest fear is the new 35 will not sound as good as my ole Beolab 7.1 . Friends recommend Harman kardon sabre ab 35 which looks good but I am completely ignorance to soundbars.
"You think we can slap some oak on this thing?"

Before you disconnect your BV7-32....
If it has the BL7-1, throw in your favorite CD in the DVD player, turn up the volume a bit, and listen...
That speaker is not even close to retirement!
And with the Connection Hub it will work just fine with your new TV!
Thank you guys for advise . Can I hook the beolab 7.1 to a non b&o tv ? I do not know the connection hub thing . I can buy that from b&o stores ?
Agree - use your 7-1 with a Connection Hub.
At least so you have a bit B&O left in your setup.
The BS35 was not intended for use as a soundbar.
MM
There is a tv - and there is a BV
This hub was made initially for the S8-speaker set,
but can be used with (almost) any BL.

Another suggestion would be to use the Analog-in of the BS Essence/BS Essence (2nd gen)...
...assuming that your new tv has an analog line-level output.
Will go to check . Thank you guys .
Regarding the sound quality of the BS35. Make sure to have a listen since the last update a few weeks ago. Alot have changed. Much better bass capabilities and overall higher volume.
Does a great job a doubling as both soundbar and all-in-one music system.
... and make shure you get the Essence Remote with it! :o)
Really do not know about the recent update . A beosound 35 is the first choice in case it has a fair bass ability .
thank you very much for the idea .
Just go listen to it in a room similar to yours is the only way to know, if it is the right thing.
Persuading the dealer to let you have it at home would - of course - be better
Whatever you choose - please, keep us posted.

This is what frustrates me about B&O. The speaker is only recently released and when I first visited a dealer to see it I was hoping to be blown away - actually expecting to be given B&Os usual offerings and standards when it comes to sound quality. I was ready to buy impulsively if I liked it, which is how I usually make my purchases. It's all about first first impressions, and I was not blown away. In fact not even close, I was very disappointed. The result for the dealer and for B&O was a lost sale. I won't drive again to the store to hear the latest update but instead wait for next speaker offerings from the company, but that's just me. Why don't B&O get it right first time? They are hardly new kids on the block anymore and have years of experience. They should know their customers and expectations by now. Its just not good enough for a brand of this 'historical' quality. Simon.
B&O products are V1-32, BS2, H95, E8 and an Essence remote.11-46 now replaced with Sony A90J 65”, Sony HT-A9, Sony UBP-X800M2 and Sony SRS-NS7.

I had the exact same thought, but I already used my 7.1 as soundbar for my Samsung TV. The 7.1 was connected to a BS3000, and the TV to the BS3000(A.AUX).
Went to the store and listened to the BS35.. The 7.1 sounds MUCH better.. I was no longer in doubt that the BS35 was not for me.
Kept the 7.1, but since then, has exchanged it with a set of Penta's, they sound fantastic :)

Well, i honestly think that B&O products are going down in the last few years....
I mean: I've got a BV 7-32 MK III with BL 7.1 ....and i think that BL 7.1 sounds GREAT ! BS35 seems to be not that great....
Let's face it: even a BL3500 sounds better than a BS35...and it's FAR more better looking IMHO.
So, the BS35 seems to be the newest, but also the 'worst'...
why i am stuck in this situation because i did love b&o .
before the BV7 32 , i had an av5 and love it till the end . nevertheless , i just cannot persuade myself anymore to pay silly extra money for outdated technology and just ok design (sometimes not even ok) . that's why i turned for a sony top model oled and want to keep a b&o sound touch .
as said earlier , i went to see the harmon kardon sabre sb35 soundbar . design is fairly good , can do much more function and even sounds better than the bs35 (sighhh....35) but price is only a third of the bs35 .
still thinking about using the beolab 7.1 or not , anyway , i will go to another showroom to listen to the updated bs35 again .
thank you guys for sharing your thoughts .
For those who want to use beosound 35 as a sound bar for b&o or non b&o. tv , read this first .

I'll stay with my first statement on the first page:
If you need something as a soundbar, use the 7.1!
However, if you want, what the BS35 can - including the possibility to play the sound from the tv as well - go for that.
If sound is paramount,- the Beolab 7-1 [:)
