Essence problem, only one speaker

I decided to move my Beosound 3000 so I disconnected everything, then realized I need a longer cable to relocate it to where I want it. Ordered cable from Sounds Heavenly. And then reconnected everything just as it was before.

However, I am now only getting sound from the right speaker when using the Essence. Essence is connected to the aux in of the Beosound 3000. 3000 is in option 0. I disconnected the RCA cable connections and reversed them to see if anything would change, left to right, it did not. Still only sound in the right speaker. Beosound 5 sources and CD of 3000 play fine. Essence is set in Beosetup app to line out. Also tried plugging the cable into both rj45 connections on Essence.

Any thoughts? Suggestions?

Is there a balance setting in the Beomusic or Beosetup app?  Balanceis fine with a CD in the 3000 and Beosound 5 sources.

Problem solved. But do not know what the problem was. I reconnected the Essence to the Beosound 5. Both speakers worked, but for the static problem I experience when the Essence is connected to the Beosound 5. I disconnected the 3000 from power while using the 5.

I then reconnected the 3000 to power and reconnected the cables to it and now all works perfectly again. I had previously checked the cable connections and reconnected them with no success. Maybe disconnecting the 3000 from power did something.

Argh, I hate problems like that! Even though I'm happy they went away I always dread them coming back and not knowing the solution.
