Dear All,

I have recently inherited a BV 7-40. How can I tell which version it is & more specifically if it has DVD or BluRay?

The lettering in the top right is in white so I understand it is at least a Mk 111.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Kind regards

Julian

Hello Julian,

It all depends on the type number. This will be a four digit number beginning with a 9, which will be in the greenish grey sticker underneath the left hand removable panel as you look at the back of the TV screen.

If you have a UK version and it is indeed a Mk3, the type number will be 9379.

Hi Lee,

Thank you for your help, the type number is indeed 9379.

As such I guess the TV is find with a DVD player as opposed to a Blu-Ray?

Kind regards

Julian

Hi,

This does indeed have a Standard Definition DVD Player installed.  You can have a Blu-Ray module retro-fitted (if you can find one - and there's a small chance I may actually have one somewhere should you want one) but this will need fitting by a B&O engineer as it also involves a software update.
