Hello - I have an Apple TV and my Apple devices are configured so that I need to enter an access code when I sign into a new device. However, I can't figure out how to do this with my BeoVision 11 and the B&O remote. After I enter my password for the Apple TV, a message comes up on my other device (iPhone, e.g.) to enter the access code in order to use the new device (in this case, the Apple TV on the BV 11). There is no interface displayed on the TV, and I don't know how to enter the 6 digit code. Do I use the number buttons on the B&) remote?
I didn't have to enter a code in the past, but it has been like this for quite awhile, so not sure how long this requirement has existed. Apologies if this is unclear, but I figure I'm not the only one who has had this isuue, though I couldn't find reference to it when I searched.
Thank you for your help!
Do you have a picture of what the Beovision shows when requesting the codec
The access code requirement is something that has never happened to me (also in the US, with a US BV11), and I've been using an AppleTV for ages. I'd like to see what the screen shows as well. I think it is an AppleTV specific screen rather than one initiated via a BV11.
Here's something I've found on Apple website. Is this what is happening?
Hi Sal - no, that's not it. I can't get into the Apple TV anyway because I can't enter the Apple security code. I will get a picture, as others have requested. Thank you.
Thank you for your replies. Yes - it is not the BV 11 asking for it - it is Apple. Here are the steps:
Anyway, I appreciate any advice anyone has. Thank you!
I think its not going through the proper installation sequence.
try resetting the apple tv, have your iphone close by and make surebluetooth is on
otherwise try reset again, this time leave your iphone off/airplaine mode and switch after you passed the itunes store sign in and wait for the code
the pop up with the code i understand is optional if iphone with bluetooth is close by it may not need the code thing
BeoNut since '75
HI everyone - here is an update. I decided that before I would follow the reset process, I would try one more time. On step 7, I entered the 6 digit code using my BeoRemote. Although there was no way to verify that the system was accepting the numbers, apparently it worked. I am now "in" and able to get to Settings and so on.
Not sure if it's *really* working, but appears to be and I don't need to log into my Apple account every time I launch the Apple TV now.
Thank you for your help and advice.
