hi new owner here of my late grandfathers system.

Belt had fallen off so ive had the table apart which ive discovered the motor is not turning. Does anyone have a step by step guide to stripping the motor down, or are replacements available? i assume the brass pulley should be turning when the black on button is pressed whether the bearing are fitted or not? The motor gets warm but the spindle does not turn.

also should the circular item that presses against the brass spindle be loose?

Is there just the platter belt and no other belts in this deck?

finally how is the belt routed?

sorry im a newbie!

Yes, normal. Do eliminate that oil on the rubber !

You have to re-oil the two sintered brass bearings. I don't have a vacuum pump so I boil them in 100 celsius motor oil (Mobil One) for half an hour. Has always worked so far.

But Rudy's method is of course the proper one.
