Dear All:

It has been a while...  I visited one of the few B&O shops remaining in the US; the new stuff looks ok and sounds familiar.  The new Avant tele looks good.  Unfortunately, the young man at the store was not very well versed on its functions or B&O products from the the 90's much less anything before.

I inquired about integrating the B&O 9000 with a music server.  He was not able to answer or made suggestions where I could get help.

The ones I visited and received service from in Michigan and DC metro area have closed.  What's going on?

Does anyone know how to reset to factory standards a BeoSound 9000 Mk 2?  It plays music; switches between CDs and so on.  However, it freezes at night.  The clock reads 23:35.  I have to unplug it from wall plug and plug it back.  It then works fine.  Whenever it has not used for a day or so, it freezes.

Regards,

Dario

Dario,

Well, this is an interesting problem.

The action of turning the mains power off and back on will reset the unit which you already do each time the problem occurs.

Firstly, has this problem always occurred since you had the unit or has it just started?

In my view the best starting point is to run the internal "Test Modes" which may point to the problem area.

So, Test mode activating (by Beo4).   --   Wait 20 - 30 sec. after connecting to mains.
Since Beosound 9000 is in option 0 if Power Link speakers are not connected, then option has to be changed to 1.
Option 1 can be obtained by short-circuiting pins 2 and 4 on the Power Link sockets or by means of the remote control from Standby (can only be done if the product is not in option 0)

Press SHIFT 9 0 2 5 8 with no more than 2 sec. between the individual entering.
The remote control has to be in RADIO or CD option.
In test modes the tuner is fully functional and may overwrite the display but the Test Modes will continue.
Select CD to view CD test modes.
Deactivating test mode (by Beo4)
Press • and the display shows “TESTMODE OFF” or disconnect from mains.

Regards Keith....
