Hello
I purchased a beosound 1 yesterday.
In order to successfully instal I needed to download the beosetup APP and update the beosound 1s software. That worked successfully and I was able to connect via bluetooth and via my home wi fi network.
After some hours it stopped working. I reset the product, re installed my apps, re booted my wifi.
I then downloaded the BeoTool app. The beosound 1 appears in the product list but as 'offline' whereas other products are all online and working e.g. A6, Avant, Beocentre 2 etc.
Is there a fix or something else i can try?
Regards
David

elephant:Is your network segmented ? e.g. My wifi has a 2.xGHz and a 5.0GHz and I need to make sure everything connects to the 5.0 (so much so I am considering taking the other signals offline) BeoNut since '75
My BS 1 was setup but now cannot be found by phone. I haven't managed to connect by Bluetooth by following the instructions. As per my thread recently it's just a big paperweight!
Do I need AirPlay?

I had a similar problem with my Beosound 1 recently. It stopped working and, when I reset it, it would only find my 5GHz Wi-Fi network, which I do not use and is no good, as my iPad and other items are on the 2.4GHz network! It also refused to connect to anything via Bluetooth.
I was almost on the verge of giving up and taking it to my dealer, when I noticed my iPad had picked it up as an Airplay speaker (I do not usually use Airplay) and asked if i'd like to configure it - using the iPad's Airplay setup I was then able to find it on the correct network and establish a connection to it. When I went back to the B&O app, it then found it on the 2.4GHz network and I could fully set it up once more.
As an aside, it required a software update during the setup process and I wonder if this was the problem. I had been having some problems with it recently cutting out and showing the operation LED colour that signifies poor network connectivity (even though I have not moved the BS1 or the Wi-Fi hub since i set them up 18 months ago!). However, since this last new setup and the software update, it plays faultlessly (touch wood...). I'm damn sure it even sounds better, too!
Thanks for sharing.
Perhaps I should try yet again. It seems to turn off pretty soon after its switched on. Your experience seems to back up what I was told by a London B&O dealer today, to forget the app.
