Help - damsel in distress!

I have a Beovision 7 mk 2. It stopped working and just stuck on standby. Called many companies, they said probably chassis which can be replaced for c£800.

As TV not worth that, yesterday I bought a Beovision 7 mark 3 - a slightly newer model. Pluged it all in, to speakers, Sky etc etc. Picture came up fine, remote all working etc, but when trying to sort connection AV source with remote, the screen just froze. So switched TV off, left a few hours, switched on again and TV is stuck on standby, just like the old one!!  I am now stuck with two beovision 7's in my lounge, one mark 2, and the other mark 3, both stuck on standby - and as you can imagine I am beside myself. Switched on again this morning - same thing. Is this a software issue / worth getting an engineer out / repairable?

Could this be something to do with my mains?? Having said that, I do have a very sensitive new fuse box panel, which I think would pick up any issues in the mains - it is so sensitive.

Any ideas, anyone, as am desperate. Many thanks, all.

Have you switched off the main power from the BV7-40 ? Try to do it and wait for some minutes after switch on again. In this case the BV7 makes always a reset . Maybe that helps !!

MAny thanks.  It's a 32 inch m3. I left it off overnight and switched back on - just stuck on standby - can do nothing with it.  Can't believe this has happened to me twice, on different tv's!!

Any other devices connected by ML?

Disconnect all boxes etc and take of the power. Wait a few minutes and try again.

Many mk1 and mk2 have the faillure of a blown powersupply. Did you before connecting the mk3 accomodate it to the livingroom tempature?
