I have a previously mint pair of BeoLab Penta 3 speakers. My drunk girlfriend knocked one over and put a small dent in the side of the stainless steel panel. It appears that the dent could easily be rubbed out from behind (like paintless dent removal on car bodies) if I could only remove the metal piece from the cabinet. Has anyone ever done this?

Hi Hungedu,
I am sorry to hear this and I can relate to you as I put a small dent in one of my Pentas while moving (and at it was by my own mistake I was pretty angry with myself). As far as I know the steel Panels on the Pentas are very firmly glued by a double sided tape to the speaker cabinet and cannot be removed without significant/heavy distortion to the panel (and therefore making it scrapmetal).I don't know if replacement panels are still available, but any dealer could check this for you.

P.S.: I hope your girlfriend did at least apologize....

Thank you to all for the replies and suggestions. It is minor ding. I will talk to some of my friends in the metal business. I doubt parts are still available. I did read the post on the complete Penta restoration job. It seems to be a monumental task, but that fellow sure does know his stuff! It's good to know that something can be done if the need is strong enough.
