I recently bought a Beosound 3000. The problem is that when I press "LOAD" on the unit, the clamper does not move. So I end up powering off the unit, physically move the clamper to insert the cd , power on the unit and then pressing Cd on my BEO 4 to play the cd! I am able to forward and rewind the cd tracks by using the Beo 4 . Oh the radio works fine.

Any help or suggestion to rectify this problem is appreciated.

Many thanks

Christian

Do you hear the noise of a Motor inside the beosound if you press the load button?
If it is so, the drive belt of the clamper is worn out or torn

Remove all screws on the back and remove the back cover. The clamper mechanism is located behind the CD. To change the belt you have to remove and disassemble the clamper mechanism.

Good lock!

Position 9104 is the belt for the clamper

Position 9123 is the belt for the glass doors

Hi,

I have opened up the rear of the Beosound 3000 . The rubber belt is still there.

I will get a replacement belt from the electronics shop n change it next week .

Also LOAD, CD on the unit is not working!

Many thanks again for your advice n help.

Does the motor work if you press the LOAD Button?

If not it is usually a defective PCB9 (light and motor control print)
