Hi!

I just managed to get my hands on a Beo6 and started experimenting with Configuration Tool 6.84. :-)

So far I've only upgraded the firmware to 3.40a (getting WiFi support) and added the old Sony Trinitron conf (from http://beo5.beoworld.org/Downloads.htm ) which gave me basic IR functionality in TV like Power, Channel, Volume but no navigation, Netflix, etc.

Since the Beo6 has WiFi enabled I was thinking it could be used to control devices via REST-API:s. So to my question:
Have anyone heard/tried/done something in this area?

I would love to be able control i.e. Telldus (tellstick), IFTT (If this then that), most newer appliances.

I've got no idea how the network part of the Beo6 works but I was thinking of three different approaches for the network controlling part:

I've got a BeoPlay A6 which is currently controlled via the Essence Remote (Bluetooth) and the App (WiFi) which I'd like to be able to control via network link or something as well.

Bonus question: if anyone have any idea on how to control the following devices it would be much appriciated: Sony Bravia KD-65s8005c (2016), Marantz SR6010 (2016), BeoMaster 3000 (1985)

You could try to take a look at the App I have developed... So far people has uploaded these products to the database, but it is quite easy to add new products, if you can capture the IR commands from the remote.

I have had the same thoughts as you regarding WiFi, but I suspect it is quite a closed land for everything else than the Beosound 5.
