i recently purchased a Bromaster 1900 which came with a Beocord 1900.  I also have a Beogram 2400 which I would like to set up as the turntable with the other 2 components.  I am very new to purchasing audio equipment, so I apologize if my questions are so amateur.  I would just like to know if the 2400 is compatible with the Beomaster 1900 and if so, which connectors/wires I will need.  The Beomaster 1900 did come with some wires but as I am new with this, im not sure how to connect them to the Beocord or the Beogram.  Any help will be greaty appreciated.  I am very excited to be a part of this community.

Welcome to the forum, The BG and the BC should have 5 pin DIN plugs that fits into the Phono and tape jacks on the BM 1900, some pics from the cable plugs will help us help you. The BG 2400 is compatible with the BM 1900

Also, while we are on the subject, I have a CDX.  I doubt this is compatible with the 1900, but I did read that it may possibly be able to be connected via the phono system through the Beomaster.

The CDX works fine with the 1900 but you will need a phono to 5 pin adapter and use the tape connection. There is actually a specific connector which has a switched adapter which allows a tape and cdx to be connected.

This is the connector I was remembering - I did have one though I have probably given it away. Worth looking for one.

Thank you for the info!  I will have to look into this.  I just realized that the photos I posted didn't show up here on the site for some reason.  When I purchased my Beomaster, it came with plugs, but what confuses me is that the Beomaster and Becord both have "female" ends for connecting, so I"m not sure how I'm supposed to connect the 2 components.  Also, the Beogram 2400 came with a gray wire that doesn't match the other one.  I'm still pretty lost...

You should have a 5pin to 5 pin DIN cable - that connects the Beocord to the Beomaster. The Beogram uses a slightly different cable because it has an earth cable included connecting the plug shields.

The Beogram cable is permanently fitted to the Beogram.

Upload pics

Make sure your pics are smaller than 1000 Kbs

To upload pics to your files and keep them on the forum server, for later use, when making a longer thread, do like this

Click view all files, way down in the right corner

If you uploads pics without making folders, you will get all your pics in "my files". If you make folders, you can only make 9-10 folders, if more folders, you wont be able to open them when posting. And remember, write folder names like when you had a Comodore or PS1 computer, Nospaces in Folder name.

After adding a folder, you get this pane, open the newly added folder.

To add pics to folder, click browse, find the pic in your computer, click open or double click, then click add file.

After clicking Add File, your pane should look like this.

Now continue to Browse, select pic, Add File to this folder, or make one more folder and do the same there.

How to post the pics in your Thread or Answer, I will post in another page, its a Looong story, as we are working with bad or Outdated server software.

Post uploaded pics

Pics has to be less than 1000 Kbs

Start a new thread, or post an answer in a thread

Every time you insert a pick, you will have to run the whole click, click, and every time you insert a pic, the pane will reset to the starting point and you will have to scroll down to the last inserted pic.

It easier to just write the text, insert pic from options, post, answer to thread and insert one more pic and so on.

This way is a waste of time.

Its easier to upload your pics to a server like Photo bucket, find your pic, copy the direct link, click the film strip paste the link and insert it, done, just keep your pics under 1000 pixels

I got your pics in my mail, a lot of cables and converters, as Martin says the BG 2400 normally it has a 5 pin din plug, if it has RCA  connectors you will need a RCA to 5 pin din male converter, connect that one to the Phono input.

For the BC, you will need a cable with 2 x  5 pin din male, in your pics you showed me a cable with 5 pin din male to female, and a converter 5 pin din male to RCA, probably the BC has been connected to an amp with RCA jacks.

If you post pics again show both ends of the cables or converters, and for the BG tell us it is the BG, converters is where you have a 5 pin din to RCA or visa versa.

5 pin din male has pins

5 pin din female has holes

I wonder if the US model might have a different set up? Maybe like the BG8000?

I have and have had several US BG models and there is no standard about the plugs, some comes with the DIN connector and some with RCA.

Got your last pic.

Upper right must be for the BG 2400, so connect the the 5 pin DIN to the BM 1900 phono jack, and the RCA end to the Beogram cable, the single wire to the single wire coming from the BG 2400.

upper left is for connecting to the female end of the male/female 5 pin DIN cable, the male end goes into the BC amplifier jack.

Lower cable in the pic is a converter cable for incoming and outcoming signal to tape input on the BM 1900, connect the 5 pin DIN to the tape jack, now connect one of the pairs to the in the pic upper left RCA connectors (connected to the Male/female cable), play a tape and if sound is there its OK if not change to the other pair and try again

With the existing cables this is the only way to get it working, best is to get a male/male 5 pin DIN cable that goes direct from the BC to the BM, you can get one from Steve at Sounds Heavenly at the bottom of this page or search on Ebay

Now, this will only work if your components are working properly, they are old and if not serviced they will need service and/or repair
