How do I adjust it? The speed is low for 33 rpm and 45 rpm. Does one need to take off the bottom panel and then adjust the two adjustable resistors on the board? The turntable is running both speeds quite a bit slower than it ought. Goodness, that seems convoluted.
One more question. The pivot of the arm seems to be quite "sloppy." Is it supposed to be this way or do the bushings on these arms wear out?
I'll be honest with you. I've worked on Technics, Pioneer, JVC, Dual, Denon and other turntables and this one is the most convoluted thing I've ever seen.
First thing is clean and lubricate, new belt and then try again, repair manuals are available on site for silver and gold members
Collecting Vintage B&O is not a hobby, its a lifestyle.
Once again. how much play is there supposed to be in the tone arm pivot point? Mine has quite a bit. Is that normal or does it indicate a badly worn bushing?
Of course it shouldn't wobble around but the pivots are a quite "loose" fit.If you (gently) pull/push the tonearm axially it will move as much as a millimeter or two. This is quite normal.
