Hi everyone,
My new Beovision 14, 55" has just been installed. I have played a little with the Android software and installed the Kodi app as mediaplayer.
Before I had the BV10 with a seperate mediaplayer (Mede8er MED600X3D)
Maybe a dumb question but as this is a ultra HD television and it has now Kodi running, do I still need a seperate mediaplayer ? I already did a quick test and it plays trough Kodi DVD and Blue Ray rips without a problem but not sure if the BV14 play at the righ resolution if I use the android app's ?
On the specs of the BV14 I see this : VP9- and HEVC-codecs are integreded for streaming 4K content from for example Netflix or Youtube. Is this enough, or do I still need a seperate mediaplayer for the Ultra HD movies ?
If needed a seperate mediaplayer, what would you recommend in combination with the BV14 ?
Thanks !
Dune 4k solo
@ koning : thanks.
Can you explain why I need this one, so an additional mediaplayer ?
Full blueray menu's
Vxp video scaler
Buildin movie scraper
If I install the KODI app, I have also the scraper and full blueray menu.
Is it the playback that is different ?
It is not possible to install kodi on the dune.
No, I installed Kodi on the Beovision 14 that runs on Android.
