Hello.
I went to a B&O shop today to understand how I can connect my Beocenter 2300 and Beosystem 6500 to the Beolink Multiroom system, so they would appear as a source on the BeoMusic app. I am now totally confused of what needs to be done...
So, is it possible to connect a beocenter 2300 directly to the B&O transmitter 1? Would that work? Benefit or drawback of doing so?
Alternatively, can I connect the beocenter 2300 or beosystem 6500 directly to the Beosound essence?
Any other available solution?
Thanks in advance!
Emmanuel
Hi Emmanuel,
you willl need a converter - the BeoLink NL/ML Converter - to have that kind of integration.
Have a look at/study this handbook:

MM
There is a tv - and there is a BV
Also, since neither the BC2300 or the BS6500 have masterlink connectivity you will need a beolink converter 1611 (EU) or 1612 (US) to convert AAL to ML first, then a beolink converter NL/ML to convert to networklink multiroom.
If you wish to have both devices appear as sources in your multiroom setup (and in the app) you will need two of each converter.
You could alternatively connect one of these to the line-in of an essence, but you would have to select the line-in source of the essence using the app (or essence remote), and then control the device itself with it's local control panel or IR remote control.
Martin.
The NL/ML converter has an AUX-in, so that you can use it to feed NL from Audio of your BC2300 or BS6500. If you plan to feed both systems into the NL-Multiroom you can use two converters or Beosound Essence.Regarding multiroom functionality I dont' know if a Beosound Essence is able to do the home automation stuff and act together with a Beolink-Gateway.
