HI, I have a BEO Vision 7-32 Mark 1 TV. I am trying to connect my new Sky Q box without much success. I have connected the HDMI out from Sky to the TV with the HDMI DVI convertor. I thought this would get the picture to the TV but I don't seem to have succeeded. When I go to the options menu on the TV itself it of course doesn't have Sky Q listed. Anyone have any idea how I get this to work? I assume the BeoVis 32 will need to have the correct settings applied to ensure the audio and video ports are active. Anyone know what they are? Thanks

Dan

Hello Dan,

You say you have the Mk1...  Has it had the scaler board upgrade?  If it hasn't - that's your issue!

I certainly don't think so. How do I do that? get a B&O shop to look at it?

If the set has it fitted you'll see HDTV in the AV connections menu and you'll need to select DVI. If so, you still may have an issue with sound due to the age of the set. Sound can be sent via an optical cable but you'll end up with an optical to coaxial converter, the input on the TV may not have the right software level to support sound from the Sky box. All in all the new Sky Q box should only be used with a more up to date TV with support for HDMI 1.4 or 2.0 for UHD content
