Hi all
Has anyone been able to convert a beolab 3500 to work Like beloab 6000 or 8000
Can you explain more in detail what you mean?

Yes, I would like the Beloab to run like a Powerlink speaker.
Have a look at the Masterplay from almondo (https://almando.com/index.php/b-o/beolab-3500-tv-soundbar/almando-masterplay.html). I have one to connect a BL3500 to an essence.

leosgonewild:For the price of the converter you can get a Beolab 7.1. Which is a proper power link speaker and has better sound. No individual volume control tho.
That's what I've done in my bedroom - I have an essence connected to a BL 7-1 which is wall mounted above the bedroom door (as I don't have a lot of available wall space elsewhere in the bedroom).
I've been contemplating turning the 7-1 upside down, such that the woofers fire up towards the ceiling as the underside of the speaker is not especially pretty when mounted at high level (especially with the wall bracket and it's fixings on show). I'm curious as to whether anyone else has done this - the downside will be that the speaker will effectively be hanging on the screws, as opposed to sitting on the bracket, so perhaps a couple of drops of threadlock might be a wise precaution....
