Hello

I just bought a nice old Beogram 4004, but unfortunately it keeps blowing the left 0.125A power fuse.

I tried to change the 4000 mF power supply cap with a new 4700mF, but it did not solve the problem.

After blowing a lot of fuses, I managed to isolate the problem to the tonearm mechanics.

When I disconnect the white multi cable going to the tonearm, the fuse do not blow.

As my electronic and mechanical skills are limited, I was hoping someone has an idea what to look for next?

(Update: Another post on this forum suggested it could have something to do with the solenoid running at full current all the time, so I unsoldered the solenoid, but alas, my last fuse has now blown. I guess it's probably not solenoid related after all)

Regards, Lennart
