My son was staying overnight and turned off the tv at the socket. When I went to use the TV today it asked for a pin number. We have never had to do that before. Tried the standard 0000 to no avail. Any suggestions?

CONTACT BANG & OLUFSEN WITH YOUR SERIAL NUMBER TO REQUEST THE PIN. IT IS TO PROTECT THE CUSTOMER FROM THEFT... BUT IF PIN IS FORGOT WILL NEED ASSISTANCE FROM B&O OR RETAILER YOU PURCHASED FROM. GOOD LUCK.

May I know what is your TV ? If its Beovision 7, you need to put that 00000 in the Mastercode. You need to press and hold the rewind button( << ) and wait to show the master pincode input. Hope it helps. Cheers!

The mastercode won't help you much, since it is meant for use while servicing and only lasts for 3 hours (if I remember correct).

If you did not change the PIN yourself, you should have been given it by the seller.

Please have a look at your receipt.

In case you bought from a B&O store, please contact this - they might have the original code in their system.

If anything fails, do contact your local store (as mentioned above).

Be sure to have your receipt/serialnumber at hand.

Once you have PIN-coded it again be sure to write the code down and keep it safe ;-)))

Or decide not to activate the PIN code system.
