Hi All
I know there are a few discussions about buzzing 6000's, but I've not read one that is quite like this question....
I have a BeoVision 55 TV. The 5.1 sound output goes to floor standing BeoSound 8000's at the front, floor standing BeoSound 6000's at the rear and a BeoLab 2 sub. I live in the UK and have all UK equipment.
The system has been working fine for some time (no buzzing). Recently the TV was on, with sound output to all speakers as 5.1 when the power was cut (I switched the wrong fuse off on at the house fuse box). Since then I have noticed an audible buzzing from the 6000's (midway up the speaker), and the fuse in the power plug of the sub has gone 2ce (then stabilised and hasn't blown in the last few weeks).
I am not saying that cutting the power whilst the unit was on was to blame, but it's a coincidence worth putting out there.
My question is whether anyone has suffered the same, or knows why the 6000's would suddenly develop a buzz, having been working perfectly for so long before? Could there have been anything caused by a power cut while the TV was on? Can the TV get confused and send too much power to the 6000's?
Any and all advice appreciated.
