just purchased a really nice condition Beomaster 5000 knowing full well it had some issues
the biggest appears to be that it is "stuck" in Standby mode.
When I plug it in, the main relay pulls open but never closes. The logic circuits all work because the 5VDC ppears to be there but because the relay never closes, the main voltages are never created. When I pulled the relay cover off there was some white residue in it - the relay will need to be replaced but it is working now.
Nothings appears to be wrong with the system - the logic checks in the SM came back ok. But when I meter the voltage out of the relay circuit, it appears to be in Standby mode.
Any "quick" checks to see what could be causing the system not to leave the "Standby" mode, or a quick way to disable it to see if that is the root cause of the voltage issues.
Thank you
