Hi all
I have a plan replace S45-2 woofer driver for better sound .
Original S45-2 woofer marked 4 Ohms.
I found three suitable size woofer driver unit for S45-2.
1.Monacor SPH-200KE Top hi-fi bass-midrange speaker, 100 W, 8 Ω (129EUR)
2.Monacor SPH-200CTC Hi-fi bass speaker and subwoofer, 2 x 60 W, 2 x 8 Ω (124EUR)
2.Goldwood GW-8pc-4 8" Heavy Duty Woofer 4 ohm (41$)
I think monacor is better sound. But It's 8 ohm.
Is 8 ohm driver unit compatible with S45-2 ?
Which driver is better choice ?
And Is there 8 " 4 ohm woofer driver unit for S45-2 ?
Thanks.

Impedance is important but it is not all and certainly none of the (overpriced) cheap drivers you link to will be a good replacement forthe original Peerless (very high quality!) woofer. If you don't match the T/S parameters, the speaker will sound like a shoebox.
The original woofer was custom produced to B&O, to match the cabinet size and volume, the impedance etc..You won't find anything better than the original. Not even a close match. Many have tried.
If you want better speakers, I suggest you find a pair of Beovox S75 or some of the M series.

Thank you for your reply.
I have one more question.
Is there paper recone unit for original woofer driver ?
Thanks
Not that I know of.I can often find good used parts in the dungeons, so PM me if you want me to look for a woofer. If a coil has seized solid, it's most likely because the magnet has slipped and dislocated.Do a search in this forum. A repair may be possible.
