Help wanted and very much appreciated  - I have inherited a Beocenter 2200  - really good condition record deck and radio work tape does not - clicks when you put a tape in no movement - looking at other posts - I have taken it apart and the belts have all turned into runny black rubber and stuck all over the flywheel etc  - I have cleaned everything up bought new belts (3) - but have no idea and can't tell from the service  manual where the belts actually go/how they fit - are there any photo's or better schematics out there....Thanks Mark

Mark,

Welcome to Beoworld !

Sorry to say this, but if you bought belts off Ebay etc. there's a good chance you will sit with something that doesn't fit properly - doesn't fit at all or
in the worst cases seem to fit but wears out bearings in days rather than years.
You could ask the seller for mounting instructions but I doubt they will have any, it's my experience that most sellers never actually
tried fitting their belts, let alone did any long-term testing.

From repairs coming in here I have a glass jar in my repairshop with all kinds of wrong belts that were guaranteed to fit but for
some reason or another just didn't.
To go with the sad bunch in the glass jar I have an unhealthy amount of motors in the drawer with worn down bearings from running with
belts that presented a too heavy sideways pull to the motor pulley.
The motor bearings are sintered bronze, quite delicate.

I can supply correct belts. Both for the tapedeck section and the turntable. I can include mounting instructions for the belts with photos and english text.
I can also supply new reel table rubber parts (for the idler and the tape reels).
There's a good chance that the dial lamps in your Beocenter haa gone south too, I can supply those as well.

Martin - hello. I am having the same exact issue with my 2200 - the tape won't play, fast forward or rewind. It sounds like its trying to move the tape, but then it shuts itself off after a second or 2. Do you still have the belts and directions for repairing this?
