Dear all,
I need help with a temporary setup I am working on. Basically, I had a setup in my living room that was a Beosound 9000 (no speakers connected) which was connected via Masterlink to a Beovision 5 with an ATV1 attached to one of the scart sockets via a Hdmi to scart convertor. I had a Humax DTV box on another scart socket controlled by my Beosound and the internal STB controller. The BV5 was connected BeoVox Penta speakers via powerlink from a Beolink Passive. A Beolab 3500 was also connected via Masterlink in the room and there was a Beolink Wireless 1 running speakers in 3 other rooms.
This all worked really well. When watching TV the BV5 speaker and BeoVox Pentas gave sound for the TV. If you played CD's the BV5 screen remained off but the speakers and Pentas would come on along with the BL3500, (plus any link room). My ATV1 had KODI installed and I could access all my music stored on my PC. I could listen by pressing A-V.AUX and the BV5 speakers, Pentas and the BL3500 would come on (plus any link room). Tracks all controlled via my Xperia Tablet.
Now for my problem. I sold my BV5 and ATV1 and now have a 1 year old LED TV inherited from my father in law when he passed away. This us a temporary TV until I decide on my next Beovision (this will be decided once we re-model our living room. The TV has the usual umpteen HDMI connections, a scart connection and composite connections. I have replaced the ATV1 with an Amazon Fire Stick. The Fire Stick has KODI installed and I can still search and play my music but only through the puny TV speakers. What I want to do is integrate the TV into my system so I can listen to my music from KODI on the BeoVox Pentas, BL3500 and in the link rooms. So I somehow need to get the TV sound into the Masterlink system.
Packed away in storage I have a Beomedia 1 (with IR eye), a Beolink PC Office 2 (I think this it's Name) and I have a Beolink convertor from my old Beosystem 4500 and MX 6000 TV. Will any of these assist? I downloaded the configuration tool but it doesn't seem to help in my situation. I know I can use the Beomedia as n.music with the BS9000 but I'd would rather be able to control music playback via KODI and my tablet as it does not require the TV screen and copying all my music to the Beomedia was always a bit of a pain.
I don't want to outlay too much extra money as this is only a temporary solution for 6 to 8 months.
Any suggestions will be gratefully accepted
Than you

You will have to connect the amp/speakers to your 9000.
Depending on which sound output option (details needed) you have on the non-B&O tv, you must connect this output to the A.Aux input of the 9000.
This way the tv (and what is playing there) is an external source on your BM and on the ML system.
You could also use the 'S8 hub', but for a temporary setup this probably would be too expensive.

There is a tv - and there is a BV
Hi MM,
At the moment I have a cable out of the headphone jack on the TV to a Bose SoundLink Mini, I can connect that to the BS9000, do you know what type of socket is on the BS9000 A.Aux input? I have various cables with a headphone jack on one end B&O style plugs on the other. I can use a multimeter to check which pins connect.
Hi,
for the AUX Input you can use a normal DIN 5 pin connector, it is wired as usual.
That should work. But your converter will work as well, because you have no Videomaster.
Connect your TV to the AUX conector of the converter, pressing TV or A.TV should play the TV Sound. May be you must use A.OPTION 2 on your BS9000.
The PC Office could work when pressing PC, but i have sold mine 10 years ago, so no more experience with that part.

If your TV's got an AV connector which ends up in a Scart plug you can extract line audio level from the scart connector. This is the way I send audio from my Pana Plasma to my BS9000 Aux-in.
