Keeping settings while replacing battery

Not yet applicable because my brand new remote is just only a couple of weeks old. So this is a future question:

The battery life in a remote will vary depending on usage. As my BROne BT replaces all of the remotes in my home entertainment center, it is doing the work of multiple remotes which can drain batteries at a faster rate than a single device remote. This was never a problem with the good old Beo4, because it was not programmable, did not have BT or two-way communication.

So time to replace the OEM battery on my BROne BT. I realize that if I disconnect the battery, all the settings will be lost if I have to change the battery. Or will the remote retain all of my device programmed information when replacing the batteries.

Whilst I have not tried it, I would be surprised if your setting would be lost particular as B&O normally uses non-destructive memory in most of it's products.

My BT One 'hung' the other day so I popped off the cover (cutting the power for about 7 or 8 seconds) then put it back on. The remote booted up without issue and was identical to before. Clearly the config is stored, or certainly the pairing data is, allowing a resync with the TV

I've removed the batteries and never lost any settings

I'm up to 2 years of ownership of the avant. No batteries changed yet

The BeoRemote One BT (not the IR-version!) is two-way remote which gets the setup from the TV.

So after a reset or battery change it will get the right setup from the TV.
