I recently acquired a beogram 1600 turntable which I believe is from the late 70's. I've just migrated to Australia and didn't bring any of my hifi equipment with me as I had every intention of upgrading. Is there any way I can bypass getting an amp to listen to my tunes on it. Its got a 5 pin din connector  so I'm guessing I need an adaptor but I've trawled the Australian websites and cant seem to find anything!

Welcome to Beoworld Smile

You mean a Beogram 1600 then? I'm puzzled because the date you mention is definitely wrong... Confused

Either get a Beomaster - which you will eventually do anyway - or purchase a DIN to RCA adapter. Please DO NOT chop the original cable!

Steve at the bottom of the page stocks the item, as always.

Ah yes - its the Beogram - too much googling for a beomaster! That's brilliant thanks. I'll have a look at Steve's sight and get one ordered. Then I'll go on the hunt for a Beomaster!!
