I have a passive set up as a stand alone amp for my computer.
I use an MCL2AV to provide the passive input via powerlink. The computer then connects to the MCL2AV using a standard 3.5mm to DIN aux lead. You will also need to connect an IR eye to the MCL2AV to switch it on/off. I use an old MCL2 IR-sensor (because it works 2-way with my MCP5500) but you could probably use a newer sensor.
The computer is thus connected to one of the two DIN inputs on the MCL2AV, in my case 'CD'. I select this using SHIFT RADIO 7 (or AUX 7). This leaves me one spare input which is selected with SHIFT RADIO 6.
There is also a method using a Beolink Active with a 'PC' input - see here http://archivedforum2.beoworld.org/forums/p/1699/14461.aspx#14461
