I have a Beocenter 8000 with a pair of Beolab 6000. Can I connect a Cona sub to it? If so, how?

Hello,

I have almost the same question: I have a beosound 4 with 2 beolab 8000 speakers.

There is an amplifier connected to the beosound 4 for 2 other speakers (passive ones, not b&o).

How can I connect a b&o conna subwoofer to this system?

thanks for your answers,

Louis

Hi Louis and welcome to BeoWorld,

Easiest way would be to  buy a BeoLink Passive (without the ir-eye) aka ML/MCL-converter or (earlier) MCL2P to drive the Cona.

Simply connect this with a PowerLink-cable to your audiosystem.

Connect the Cona to the speaker-outputs (of the BL Passive) and your (passive) speakers to the outputs of the Cona.

Theoretical you could use any amp, but you will probably run into some adaptercable- and trigger-problems.

From the forum-sponsor Steve (look for the link at the buttom of this site) you might get some advice for this.

Just send him a pm or mail.

Hi Jandrada and welcome to BeoWorld,

it should be possible to connect the Cona to Speaker1-output to drive it with the inbuild amp of the BC8000 - parallel to the BL6000 connected to the PL-output.
