Were B&O white speaker and amplifier etc cabinets, where offered as an alternative to teak or rosewood, simply unveneered mdf sprayed with undercoat and top coat? Or were they imperfect veneered cabinets that were recycled in the factory by over painting? Would evidence of veneer exposed by careful examination of the rear of a white painted speaker be evidence of later restoration / re-finishing, or could it be original?

The white cabinets were quite different, some were laminated chipboard (Beomaster 1200 etc.),others had a thin foil attached (the larger Beovox models),others again were sprayed (Beogram 1700, Beomaster 2200 etc.) but none of them onto veneer.
If you can spot veneer under the white, you are looking at a DIY job.
